jamska in jamtland

Until yesterday I'd never heard of Jamska, a West Scandanavian Scandinavian language spoken in Sweden. Here's a small glossary with digitized pronunciations. It's part of a dictionary project. I was surprised that the European Bureau for Lesser Used Languages did not have any information on it, but perhaps it's too moribund to be included.

I have seen the misspelling "Scandanavia" a lot of times, and every time from Americans.
Is the 'i' really so weak in the American pronunciation of "Scandinavia"?

It's pronounced as a schwa, as are a lot of other unstressed vowels in English. A quick googling shows both UK and US sites with the misspelling. Sorry about that. I promise never to make the mistake again.
