1. USan cultural assumptions in computing? Continued in computing assumptions from the US of A. [via the C2 Wiki] 2. Barely heard on NPR last week: the publisher / owner of Unità was describing Berlusconi—in English—as mediatic. I thought I heard idiotic, but then it dawned on me that it must have been mediatic a back-formation from Italian mediatico. And Google cinched it. 3. [Intentionally left blank.]

Aidan-- I sometimes just run two or three short items together rather than giving them separate entries. In that case, I just number them inline. I never really gave it any thought, but it's sort of like the numbered definitions in a dictionary entry. Anyway, sorry it was a pain for you to read.

Ah, no problem, it was just a wee detail I wondered about. What you post is certainly interesting enough for me to readily get over it :-) .
