  2. Just Shut Up. I laughed, I giggled, I guffawed. [via Limon]
  3. Sour grapes? When nerds lash back. We could replace blogging with Slashdot, er, Kuro5hin. The idea that blogging has ruined Google is hilarious. The web has destroyed Google.
  4. I’ve brooded before on CMS, Wikis, blogs, etc., but now it looks like I’ll need to research some new software to install, learn, and use. Laurent, at Embruns, informs us of the new Movable Type pricing plan.

You can still download Movable Type 3.0 on a free basis, and it does have more features for deleting spam comments en masse. Plus at some point we'll be informed how to integrate Typekey (www.typekey.com) with the aim of eliminating spam comments once and for all (hallelujah).

Besides, MT 2.661 works just fine, anyhow, and is unaffected by any pricing strategy.

Yes, indeed. What you say is correct. There's been a whole lot of hysteria over the weekend about MT's new pricing policy (which they have since amended), with lots of folks saying they're going elsewhere. I may upgrade to MT 3.0 real soon now, but I have been toying with a new kind of blog and that calls for a new kind of software. We'll see if sloth wins out over desire. I've been looking into TypeKey and it seems a good solution to comment spam.
